How many branches are covered in engineering?

Before discussing engineering branches, we should to know there is two courses available for engineering. One is BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and B. Tech (Bachelor of Technology). Both are quite different. To Know difference between B. Tech and BE read here.

Now we comes on the main topic “Types of Engineering Branches.”

There is many streams are in Engineering. Here we are discussing some core and main streams below.

1. Mechanical Engineering:

Mechanical Engineering is a oldest branch of Engineering. If you are interested in the world of machines, you can go through this branch. On behalf of career purposes, This branch is known as “Ever Green”.

Basic Eligibility for Mechanical Engineering:
  1. Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  2. Most of the colleges ask for 60 percentage aggregate marks in intermediate.
  3. Board of Intermediate should be recognised by government and type of classes should be regular.

2. Electrical Engineering:

Electrical Engineering is a breach in which we study about electrical equipment, devices, its function behavior and performance. You can select this branch if you are interested in field of electrical devices and research.

Basic Eligibility for Electrical Engineering:
  1. Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  2. Most of the colleges ask for 60 percentage aggregate marks in intermediate.
  3. Board of Intermediate should be recognized by government and type of classes should be regular.

3. CIVIL Engineering:

Civil Engineering is a second core and oldest Engineering Branch. Here we study about infrastructures and its structure & maintenance. As we know that Infrastructure is basic need of human.

Basic Eligibility for Civil Engineering:
  1. Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  2. Most of the colleges ask for 60 percentage aggregate marks in intermediate.
  3. Board of Intermediate should be recognized by government and type of classes should be regular.

4. Electronics Engineering:

Electronics Engineering is a stream of Engineering in which we studies about devices and equipment, perform on behavior of Electrons. We know, electrons has dual behavior. So it is a interesting branch of engineering. On basis of Electrons behavior electronics engineering has sub stream also. Like as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Basic Eligibility for Electronics Engineering:
  1. Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  2. Most of the colleges ask for 60 percentage aggregate marks in intermediate.
  3. Board of Intermediate should be recognized by government and type of classes should be regular.
